Add ecosy® to Your Shop
A new product for a market that’s actually growing.
ecosy® is an aluminium electric cargo tricycle, sold to bike shops as a component kit for assembly. You set your own retail price, earn margin on the kit, charge for assembly labour, and keep customers coming back for accessories and service. No minimum order. No inventory risk. No exclusivity lock-in.

Why ecosy® for your shop
A growing market
Three-wheel e-cargo is one of the fastest-growing segments in cycling. Customers want comfortable, useful trikes for short errands, beach trips, weekend BBQs, and family runs — and they’re not finding what they want at the big-box stores. They want to talk to someone, sit on it, try it, and then buy it.
That conversation happens in your shop.
Margin you can actually see
You earn three ways on every ecosy® sale:
- Kit margin — roughly 30% off RRP at dealer cost
- Assembly labour at your usual shop rate
- Accessory upsell — wooden boxes, cargo systems, light kits, batteries, replacement seats
Repeat customers come back for service, accessories, and battery upgrades. ecosy® is a customer relationship, not a one-off sale.
Zero inventory risk
Order kits per customer, not in bulk. There is no minimum order, no monthly commitment, no quota. Volume discounts kick in at 5+ and 10+ kits when you’re ready, but you can start with one.
The kit model in 30 seconds
ecosy® ships to you as a component kit — frame, drivetrain, wiring, cargo system. You assemble the trike in your workshop following the official assembly manual, and at that point you become the manufacturer of the assembled vehicle under New Zealand, EU, and equivalent law.
What this means in practice:
- You set the retail price. We provide RRP guidance only.
- You handle the customer conversation, the test ride, the warranty conversation, the service.
- We supply the components, the assembly manual, and a component-level warranty for manufacturing defects.
- The Bafang motor is factory-locked at the OEM level to the road-legal power configuration for your market — you don’t need specialist tools, the kit arrives compliant.
Kit tiers and dealer pricing
| Tier | RRP (USD) | Dealer cost |
|---|---|---|
| Maker (bare frame + double-wishbone steering) | $1,190 | ~$700 |
| Explorer (M630 motor · manual) | $2,690 | ~$1,750 |
| Comfort★ (M630 + 200 Nm sync auto-hub + Deluxe seat) | $3,690 | ~$2,450 |
| Max (all the options) | $4,790 | ~$3,150 |
Comfort★ is our target tier — automatic gearing removes the last barrier to confident riding, and it’s the tier most of your customers will end up choosing.
Volume incentives:
- 1 kit — standard dealer pricing
- 5+ kits — additional 5% off
- 10+ kits — additional 10% off + featured dealer status on our dealer map
Battery is sold separately because of lithium shipping regulations. Indicative pricing: Standard 15Ah/720Wh ≈ 9 USD, Extended 20Ah/960Wh ≈ 9 USD, Dual Pack (2× Standard + mount) ≈ 9 USD. Dealer pricing typically 25–30% margin off retail — final terms set per order until volume contracts stabilise. Most customers buy one battery initially and add a hot-swap second battery later — another upsell touchpoint.

Compliant by design
Each kit is factory-locked by Bafang to the appropriate power configuration for your market — you choose at order time, and the configuration ships set:
| Market | Configuration | Road-legal as |
|---|---|---|
| New Zealand | 300W / 32 km/h | Power-assisted cycle, no licence |
| EU / UK / AU | 250W / 25 km/h | EPAC / electric bicycle, no licence |
| USA (most states) | 750W / 45 km/h | Class 3 e-bike |
| Off-road / private land | 1000W / unlocked | Not road-legal anywhere |
You are the assembler and manufacturer of the assembled vehicle, so confirm with your customer at point of sale which configuration their trike has and what the road-legal status is in your market. Off-road / unlocked builds require the customer to acknowledge in writing that the trike is not for public road use.
For EU dealers: Germany has the strictest EN15194 enforcement in the EU. We’re prioritising NL, AT, FR, ES (incl. Canaries) for Phase 1, with DE as Phase 2 once we have an EU track record.

Common questions
Do I need to stock kits? No. Order per customer, or stock as many as you want. There is no minimum, no quota, no fee.
How long does assembly take?A skilled bike mechanic can assemble a Comfort★ kit in approximately 4–6 hours. Comparable to assembling an e-cargo bike from a major brand.
What if a component is faulty? You submit a warranty claim to us with photos and the component’s serial number. Approved claims are resolved by replacement or credit note within 14–21 working days. The customer doesn’t need to go through us — you handle their conversation and we back you up.
What about the battery?Battery is always sold separately because of lithium shipping rules. We supply two standard sizes (Standard / Extended). You can stock or order per customer.
Can I sell the off-road / unlocked configuration?Yes, with documented customer acknowledgement that the trike is not for public road use. We’ll provide the standard form.
Can I co-brand or customise?Limited co-branding (your shop logo on a removable plate) yes. Frame paint and core branding stay ecosy®.
Is there a city-exclusive option?Yes, available as a 12-month first-dealer incentive in your city or postcode area. Ask when you enquire.
